
Dignitaries lead by the Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Bala Usman, at unveiling of the Apapa Port Emergency Clinic built by NPA
The managing director of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman, has commissioned a 24 hour emergency clinic to cater for health concerns at Apapa Port Complex .
Explaining why the clinic was set up, Usman said that the establishment of the clinic is in consonance with the organization’s CSR policy as well as a commitment to excellence on the side of the organization’s workforce
According to her, the NPA recognizes the importance of good health and challenge of occupational health which is expected to play out positively in the area greater operation, efficiency and revenue generation for the nation. She said “A healthy Nation is a wealthy Nation”.
She added that the agency would strive to achieve the utilization of appreciable level of modern applications and equipment at the clinic in other to keep up with current global trends in health matters.
While appealing to the Port users to make good use of the facility, she averred that “we have to sustain this efforts subsequently,” stressing that it is for the reason of prompt response to casualties, the clinic was conceptualized adding that matters concerning safety and sound mind of Port users were paramount in the operational thrust of the NPA Management.
Hadiza further challenged staff to contribute most meaningfully towards making the NPA a Model Agency.
Stakeholders at the event assured the Authority Management of collaboration and synergy when required.
