…Sells 400 vehicles to Mali, other countries on the line

Fresh details have emerged on build up that lead to the successful sealing of 400 vehicle supply deal by Nigerian indigenous car manufacturing plant, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) company receive supply order from the government of Mali.

Giving insights on the deal brokered by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), the chairman of the group, Dr. Innocent Chukwuma said after weeks of business models understanding, the Mayor of Bamako, Harimakan Keita, lead a delegation from Mali to the automobile manufacturing plant in Nnewi, Anambra State, where the purchase of about 400 vehicles was consummated.

Chukwuma revealed that the delegation from Mali led by the Mayor of Bamako, Keita, had toured the factory and was convinced before opening up on the first intercontinental deal of the IVM.

The tour was sealed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing on purchasing about 400 Innoson IVM vehicles that will be exported to Mali.

Other members of the Malian delegation included The Charge D’ affaires, Nigeria Embassy, Mali, Zayyad Abdusalami, Minister of Employment and Professional Training Mali, Director of Regulation Urban Transport of Bamako, CEO of TAXI Plus Mali, CEO GINCO Group Mali.

A source in the company hinted to Business Hilights that there are proposals from some other African countries on the table of chairman waiting for processing, approval and delivery.
