As the confusion on the reality of the cleanup of oil impacted areas of Ogoniland climbs to the crescendo, key pressure group, the Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People (MOSOP) has called for a timetable to enable stakeholders keep tab on the exercise.

According to the group, the timetable will help followers of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Restoration Project (HYPREP), to monitor level of work and time of delivery.

Few weeks ago, there were rounds of claims and counter claims on the real status of the project.

Whereas the Ministry of Environment said work is in progress, both the government of Rivers State, locals and Amnesty International say nothing is going on since the Acting president flagged of f the scheme about a year ago.

However, another angle of distrust bordering Ogoniland was the way and manner HYPREP sidelined MOSOP in the scheme of the remediation project from day one.
