Trending record notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike,  alias Evans seems to be inching closer to setting a new record in criminology in Nigeria if his new fundamental human rights suit sails through at a Lagos Federal High Court.

On Thursday, his lead counsel, approached a High Court in Lagos and pressed charged against the Inspector General of Police and his men, demanding N300mn compensation for detaining his beyond the constitutional 24 hours without being charged to Court. The suit was to enforce his fundamental human rights of fair trial on a criminal case.

Currently trending on the social media is the fact that whereas he was collecting millions of naira and dollars while carrying out his nefarious crime of well coordinated kidnapping, he may end up, depending on how the fundamental human rights suit is handle, collect another set of cool millions of naira unfortunately from the Nigeria Police even when he is under their custody.

Business Hilights recalls that he was arrested by a crack squad set up by the Inspector General of Police earlier this month and had since been kept under Police custody as further investigations were ongoing.

But his grounds for approaching the Court was based on the need to charge him to court within the stipulated time frame provided by the criminal justice system which he feels the Police has breached.
