The Lagos metro line introduced by the State Government to change the transport architecture of the state is gradually emerging as pillars for the erection of the hanging rail line that will move human traffic away from the already stretched roads continues.
Whereas the main contractor is the China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC), the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) is supervising.
The metro rail which is designed to take off from Bagadry axis through Mile 2, Orile and parallel to Charter Bridge, will terminate somewhere in Lagos Island. Additional details from LAMATA showed that on delivery, the scheme will be moving an average daily traffic of about 10,000 commuters to and fro Lagos.
