As part of new strategy to boost of ease of doing business in the state for new investors, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has deployed Geographic Information System (GIS), to facilitate prompt insurance of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O). The application will also make transfer of land titles for business purposes seamless.

The good news is that we have taken measures in the past six months to come up with a system that will ease these processes and attract investors to the state”.

Besides, the government of the state has stepped up moves to partner with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning to speed up process of getting approval for businesses.

Responding, British Deputy High Commissioner for Lagos, hailed Obaseki for the ongoing reforms on land rights, tax harmonisation and proper data collection process for businesses to thrive in the state.
