Leading advanced technology solutions providers for the global travel industry, Amadeus, has announced full content agreement with Nigeria’s Dana Air.

The new deal will allow all Amadeus subscribers in Nigeria and worldwide to access Dana Air’s full product range, schedules and availability under the same terms and conditions as Dana Air’s website, call centres or ticket offices.

The digital service access will also facilitate and simplify the selling, reporting and remitting procedures of IATA accredited travel agents in Nigeria when processing Dana Air bookings; the airline has become a participant in IATA’s Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP).

Explaining more on the deal, the General Manager, Nigeria and Ghana, Yann Gilbert, averred that “We are delighted that Dana Air has selected Amadeus as its global distribution partner. Our strategy is to provide our travel agencies across West Africa with access to superior and relevant content which can be booked in an efficient and smart way.”

In his remarks, Chief Operating Officer, Dana Air, Obi Mbanuzuo, added that the travel agency channel is a critical component to support the airlines’ distribution strategy, as it seeks to attract leisure and business travellers from within and outside Nigeria with affordable regional air transport services focused on innovation, quality and service excellence.

Mbanuzuo said “We are pleased to partner with Amadeus and to give Nigeria’s largest network of travel agencies access to our full range of schedules and fares,” he said.

Reputed for its unrivaled on-time performance and world-class in-flight service, Dana Air operates over 25 daily flights from its hub in Lagos to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Owerri and Kaduna.
