6 months on, LASG yet to gain access to Lagos Presidential Lodge in Marina—Ambode

It is not yet clear if Lagos State is about to have another stretch of strained relationship with the federal Government as it was during the second term of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.

This is stemming from the recent complains of the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode where he decried the inactions of the apex government in fast tracking of the formal handover of the Presidential Lodge in Marina to the State as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari six month on.

Another angle pointing to possible resumption of hostilities by the federal government is the frustrations the state is facing in getting the needed approval to reconstruct Oshodi-Airport road.

Still on the approved Presidential Lodge in Marina, Ambode “We plan that by May 27, 2017, we should be able to invite Mr. President and other people to that Presidential Lodge for the final banquet and dinner to mark [email protected]”.

“As we speak, we have yet to gain entrance into that place and this is frustrating our programme. The approval of Mr. President should be honoured and the agencies concerned – the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and the security services – should honour the promise made by Mr. President,” Ambode said.
