Barely less than two days after a sack of all ten directors of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) leading only the managing director, the supervising Ministry of Transportation has rescinded the letter of two, saying they received sack letters in error. The affected directors include Adamu Abdullahi, Director of Consumer Protection, and Ayodele Sasegbon, Director of general aviation.
Sam Adurogboye, general manager, public relations, NCAA, confirmed the development
But to end the ongoing sack and recall confusion rages, the Federal Government has appointed three new Directors and a General Manager for the FAAN to show that the drama is over and business has started in Ernest.
In a statement signed by FAAN’s Acting General Manager, Mr. Henrietta Yakubu, the agency said the newly appointed directors are Group Captain U.S.A. Sadiq, Director of Security Services; Mr Rabiu Yadudu, Director of Airport Operations and Mr Salisu Daura, Director of Maintenance and Engineering.
He added that Mr. Aniefiok Umoh was also appointed as General Manager, Finance.
The management and staff of FAAN welcome the new directors and General Manager and looks forward to a good working relationship that will add value to the system.
Business Hilights recalls that the federal government had in October 2016 sacked all the directors except one and 21 general managers over irregular appointment.
