LCCI, Enterprise Europe Network partner to grow SMEs in Nigeria

The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) will tomorrow at the Commerce House, Ikeja, host a team of Enterprise Europe Network members who are in Nigeria to make presentations on how to grow Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) with experiences from EU.

A statement signed by the Director General of LCCI, Muda Yusuf Wednesday said “The Enterprise Europe Network is a network of businesses established in Europe to promote trade between enterprises in Europe and the rest of the world”.

“The Network helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) make the most of business opportunities in the EU and beyond. The Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry was admitted into the Network in April, 2016 and our membership can be confirmed at:http://een.ec.europa.eu/about/branches/ng/lagos

Yusuf further said that “The benefits of this Network is hereby extended to all members and interested publics to explore opportunities in Europe for possible trade partnership deals”.

“A presentation of the Network will be done by the European Delegation to Nigeria on Thursday 23rd February, 2017 from 10.00am prompt at Commerce House, Lagos. This will include a short (10 minutes) practical session (using www.enterprisenigeria.org) to direct participants into the database of opportunities and provide a guide on how to consummate business transactions.

LCCI is the premier chamber of commerce in Nigeria. Founded in 1888 and incorporated in 1950 as a non-profit making organisation, the LCCI promotes supports or opposes legislative or other measures affecting trade, Industry, commerce and agriculture. The LCCI has over 1,500 registered members and is well known for its annual “Lagos International Trade Fair” which was launched in 1977.
