Leading British-Dutch multinational conglomerate, Unilever has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mallam Nasri El-Rufai on the Kaduna Emergency Nutrition Action Plan (KADENAP), an initiative championed by the governor’s wife; Hajia Aisha (Ummi) Garba El-Rufai aimed at tackling Anaemia/Malnutrition in the State.
The company said the new deal is also in furtherance of Unilever’s sustainability strategy, Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP).
Earlier in his remarks, Governor el-Rufai commended the company for their efforts in the sustainable development of Kaduna State and Nigeria in General and pledged to assist Unilever in their expansion plans in the state.
In his response, the Africa President of Unilever, Bruno Witvoet, said his group will remains in Nigeria to contribute in the growth of the economy and nutritional value chain of the country.
While hailing the economic policies of Governor el-Rufai, he assured that Unilever will continue to lace Nigerian homes and markets with all its premium products.
