Apapa Customs Command boss, Jibrin assures to deliver on mandate

The Apapa Customs Area Controller, Compt. Jibrin Musa has given assurance that he will deliver on his mandate at the command.

Addressing Executive of leading Maritime journalists group, the Association of maritime Journalists’ of Nigerian (AMJON) who paid his a courtesy visit Wednesday at his office, he decried the massive drop in ports activities due to economic recession and maintained that his leadership will do everything possible to contribute in the generation of revenue for the nation.

Jibrin who took over from Mr. Willy Egbudin who went on retirement at the command said he has restructured the command since he arrived with the aim of blocking all revenue leakages to make sure target revenue generation is achieved, advised clearing agents and importers to always do the needful especially in avoiding the temptation of under declaration of imported goods to avoid confusion in the course of their jobs.

He said the situation in the country demands that everybody will be vigilant and mindful of his or her activities to avoid any act capable of plunging the economy into more danger.

Earlier in his welcome address, the President of the group, Mr. Ismail Aniemu congratulated the new Apapa CAC and assured him of media coverage of all his activities.

He said the Executive members of AMJON visited to welcome him to the pioneer flagship command of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), saying the media will continue to support activities aimed at helping the economy exist recession.
