To continue to build the needed bond between subscribers and telecoms regulations and rights, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has concluded a capacity building programme on effective use of Facebook.
The training centered on the use Facebook platform to reach and connect with Nigerians regarding Telecoms issues affecting them.
The training was facilitated by a Team from Facebook, United Kingdom- Ms Akua Gyekye, Public Policy Manager Africa and Mr. Theo Lomas, Election and Campaign Specialist-Facebook.
Earlier in his address, the Executive Vice Chairman, prof. Umar Danbatta, ably represented by the Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Tony Ojobo explained how Facebook has given Nigerians a means to not just share their personal experience but also to allow them showcase their products to the world.
In his contributions, NCC’s Head of Online Media & Special Publications, Mr. Okoh Aihe, spoke on the Commission’s willingness to adopt social media platforms towards reaching Nigerians and the International Community.
Other top officials of the Commission present at the workshop include the Director of Human Capital and Infrastructural Group, Mrs. Maryam Bayi, Head of Human Capital, Mr. Mathew Maganda and other top Management staff of the Commission.
