Multipurpose indigenous industrialist, and President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote has given more details on the design and development specifications of his petroleum refinery in Lagos.

Much more interesting is the geographical size of the refinery, which Dangote puts at eight times the size of Victoria Island, Lagos.

A video by Ovation Media Group shows Dangote telling stakeholders and the media how big his refinery really is.

In the video monitored in Lagos, Dangote told enthusiasts that “You won’t appreciate the size of the place, maybe because you have not gone round, some of you”.

“But this place is actually eight time Victoria Island, that is to give you the concept. The entire Victory Island, you get eight times of it here, so that is how big it is.”

The group is currently building the world’s largest greenfield refinery, with a starting refining capacity of about 600,000 barrels of oil per day on delivery.
