Founder and Chairman, Computer Warehouse Group Plc, Austin Okere, will deliver a keynote address at the median edition of the ICT Success Summit 2016. The summit, which will hold in Lagos, has been designed to let Nigerians have an insight into the role and impact of Information and Communications Technology, since the sector was liberalised, on the growth of the country’s economy.
The facilitators, in a statement said the summit will enable consumers of ICT products and services to meet with the service providers, resellers and other partners to tell their success stories first hand.
Organisers of the summit, Datapoint Consulting and Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, said that Okere was chosen because of his verse knowledge in the ICT in the country and his company playing in various areas of the ICT such software, connectivity, computer hardware, broadcasting.
The Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, Mr. Ken Nwogbo, said Okere’s pedigree and contributions to the ICT sector was not in doubt and therefore, “qualified to deliver the keynote address at the summit.”
Okere is also a member of the World Economic Forum Business Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
He serves on the Board of the National Competiveness Council of Nigeria and Initiative for Global Development.
