The Season Two of Globacom’s humorous TV drama series, Professor Johnbull, returns to television screens from today, November 1.

A major highlight of the first episode of the new season, entitled: Work Men, is the return to the screens by legendary comic actor, Chief Chika Okpala, popularly known as Zebrudaya.

In a statement released in Lagos on Monday, Globacom, the programme sponsor, said: “Viewers will be able to watch Chief Okpala who became a household name as Chief Zebrudaya Nwokoroigbo Nwogbo alias 4:30 in the defunct T.V drama series of the 1990s, New Masquerade.”

The programme will air at the usual time, 8.30pm on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes.

The first season of the comedy series, which became viewers’ delight shortly after it made a debut in July, ended with 13 didactic episodes, which not only entertained the audience, but also passed across salient moral lessons on good neighbourliness and socio-economic development of the nation.

Globacom explained that the second season of the TV drama series was repackaged and made more interesting to delight viewers of the series.

In Work Men, the tricks of artisans who deliberately extort their clients by further stealing parts of the customer’s already damaged appliances will be exposed.

What happens when a fake mechanic inflicts further damage on Chief Zebrudaya’s vehicle in the process of repairing it?

How will the professor react to the incompetent plumber who destroys his kitchen pipes while fixing it?

How does Olaniyi, the nkwobi merchant, treat the guest who comes to eat at his restaurant and refuses to pay?

The answers to these questions will be provided viewers in the first entertaining episode of the new season.

Work Men will feature the usual characters such as Kanayo O. Kanayo (Professor Johnbull), Mercy Johnson-Okogie, Queen Nwokoye, Yomi Fash- Lanso, Bimbo Akintola, Bidemi Kosoko, Imeh Bishop and Funky Mallam. Professor Johnbull will also continue his delivery of idealistic and didactic messages anduse of highfalutin language.

There will be a repeat broadcast of the show at 8.30pm on Friday on the same NTA channels.
