As part of build up ahead of 2018 World Cup fiesta in Russia, the trophy had been visiting qualified nations to draw appetite and raise awareness.
On Wednesday, the original World Cup trophy arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, aboard a chartered flight.
The deal to fly the trophy around the globe was sealed with Coca-Cola and FIFA to increase awareness as the fiesta draws nearer.
The 2018 World Cup is billed to kickoff from June 14 and run till July 14. Nigeria is in Group D alongside with Croatia, Argentina and Iceland.
Sports minister, Barr Solomon Dalung, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Amaju Pinnick; and other officials were at the airport to receive the trophy.
There were marmot crowd of Nigerian youths along the road catching glimpse of the pure gold trophy in Abuja.
