Following the observed seriousness of the federal government in driving the growth and stability of Medium and Small Scale Enterprises (MSME), more corporate citizens have keyed into the growing trend of support for startups and SMEs.
Leading the pack is the Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc recently demonstrated in Lagos, support for SMEs by rewarding its distributors and trade partners across the country with cash prizes, vans and products.
Riding on the understanding that sustained growth of MSMEs is the surest model to lift the country out of recession, Managing Director of NB Plc, Mr. Nicolaas Vervelde, assured the challenges in the economy would not deter the firm.
He explained further that the award was in honour of distributors and key transporters of the company who excelled in the course of their business partnerships with the company last year.
According to him, “As partners for greatness, we need you now more than ever before to win”. “The environment is more intense and the competitive landscape continues to change everyday locally and globally.
Vervelde lauded the partners for 70 years of support and affirmed that the company looks forward to sustaining its partnership with them in the years ahead.
Earlier in his remarks, the company’s sales director, Hubert Eze, thanked the customers for their unrelenting support throughout 2016 and explained that the annual award was conceived to be a celebration of their excellent performance in the preceding year.
