MTN’s 4G LTE hits the ground running

The recent activation of 4G LTE services in Nigeria by major telecoms has become a source of relieve for businesses and subscribers as associated high speed internet services will boost returns on investments. Besides, the spread in terms of data traffic will further deepen the target of 30 per cent national broadband penetration by 2018.

This is coming on the heels of the formal launch of MTN’s 4G LTE service, which had been operational for in the last one month.

Experts say the evolution has amongst other things counted Nigeria as one of the 148 countries globally, 28 in Africa and seventh in West Africa where the 4G LTE service has been rolled out.

According to MTN chief executive, Ferdi Moolman, represented by MTN’s Chief Operating Officer, Mohammed Siddiqui, the deployment of MTN 4G LTE would not only enhance browsing experience across Nigeria, but also accelerate the achievement of the country’s targeted broadband penetration by 2018.

With the launch, MTN subscribers can now enjoy optimised wireless 4G broadband and high-speed browsing experiences, which can be said to be the definition of digital future.
