Leading continental telecoms conglomerate, Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) in Ghana has partnered with African Movies on the GO (AMGO) to unveil Amgo App structured to  give movie lovers the opportunity to watch their favourite movies on the go.

AMGO is a video-on-demand solution that allows subscribers to download and stream the most current high quality full length African movies on their smart mobile devices at their convenience.

The app is available on google play for android devices and could soon be accessed on other operating systems.

Report by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) quoted Mr. Bless Sefenu Agordjo, the Acting Senior Manager of Products and Services at MTN as saying that MTN a few years ago identified a new vision to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world to its customers.

While stressing that MTN had worked hard to deploy, upgrade and expand its network infrastructure and IT systems to support the provision of its products and services, three ultra-modern data centers, thousands of kilometers of fiber-optic cable, over 2,000 cell sites and the introduction of the first mobile 4G service in Ghana were some of the ways MTN was delivering digitized products and ensuring good experience for customers.

Continuing, Agordjo said “But we cannot do it alone, in order for our customers to get the comprehensive benefits that we envision for them, we must work with a value chain of partners that include equipment suppliers, device manufacturers and content providers, to name a few.

“With this App, you can watch your downloaded videos offline as many times as you like, anywhere and anytime on your mobile device.

“Movies can be paid for using MTN Mobile Money or another electronic payment service of your choice.

“I urge all our subscribers to download the AMGO app and enjoy your favorite African movie in the car, on your way to work or with your friends. It is convenient and enjoyable,” he said.
