LCCI plans Inaugural Ceremony/First Business Clinic for new Real Estate Group

In view of the importance it attached to the housing delivery sector of the economy especially now Nigeria’s housing deficit has climbed to over 20 million yearly, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) has not only created a special sector for the industry but has concluded plans to inaugurate and hold the maiden business clinic in Lagos.

A statement issued by Muda Yusuf, the Director General and circulated by Dele Ogunjobi, said “the Real Estate Group is one of the newly created Sectoral Group of The Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry would be organizing its Inaugural Ceremony/First Business Clinic on Friday, 21st April, 2017, at 10.00am, at Four Points By Sheraton Lagos”.

“The Lagos Chamber recognizes the need for synergy between government agencies and private operators to unlock the potential in the real estate sector.  Continued government reforms have created an enabling business environment for property development and financing while the commercial real estate market is driven by an influx of institutional, foreign and private businesses into the country as well as the growth of locally established businesses and multi-national Real Estate development companies across the cities in Nigeria of Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

Lead themes of the clinic include “Standardization & Sustainability:  A New Era In the Real Estate” and “Health & Safety Management As It Relates To The Industry.

The President, Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Nike Akande, and the entire membership of the Lagos Chamber, confirmed that the Hon. Commissioner for Housing, Lagos State, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, has accepted to be the Guest Speaker.

Discussants at the events are: Mr. Bola Ogunsola, Former MD of Federal Mortgage Bank, Mr. Ben Akaneme, Managing Director, Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank Ltd., and Mr. Abiodun G. Kamildeen, Past President, American Society of Safety Engineers, Nigeria Chapter.
