After about 103 days medical vacation in London, President Muhammadu Buhari, at about 4.27PM, Saturday, August 19, landed at the Abuja International Airport, and proceeded straight to the presidential Villa.

The Presidential Jet, Eagle-One (001), which brought him back, had stayed in London since Sunday, May 7, 2017, when he took him to London and has incurred a total of £515,000 at £5,000 daily which amounted to N202,129,312, going by the CBN rate of N392.4841 to 1 pound.

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo welcoming President Buhari on arrival

Shortly after exchanging pleasantries with federal officials lead by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and some governors, he observed the national anthem with the guard of honours, but swiftly left without inspecting the guards to a waiting motorcade and made his way out of the airport and faced massive traffic gridlocks occasioned by  happy Nigerians who waited to have a glimpse as his entourage drive through to the Villa.

Already, analysts have linked his sudden return to the resilient protest lead by Nigerian music maestro, Charles Oputa, aka, Charlie Boy who was recently brutalized at the Wuse market in the course of the #ResumeorResign campaign under the platform of ‘Ourmumudondo’ group.

Whereas the presidential media aid, Femi Adesina had brushed aside, belief that the group had a hand in his sudden return, he hinted that President Buhari will make a national broadcast on Monday morning.
