Just in: Buhari’s stone hits aide as Tinubu, Osibanjo run for life at Ogun rally

…Amosun speechless, Oshiomhole main target

The All Progressive Congress (APC) crisis in Ogun State that apparently saw the governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun shift his guber support base for another party, turned a violent page Monday as the party national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole was pelted with hard stones.
This is coming the same day the Spokesman for the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), has accused the United States Ambassador, Stuart Symington, and other western ambassadors of partiality and tacit support for the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.
Trouble started when Oshiomhole was invited to the podium for his speech following the arrival of President Muhammadu Buhari at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, the State capital.
Less than one minute into national chairman’s speech, rains of stones started landing on the podium from suspected aggrieved members of the party who may be responding to Oshiomhole’s treatment of the Governor during the party’s guber primaries that finally saw the governor pitching his tent with an opposition candidate instead of his anointed one in APC who was denied ticket.
However, the podium became persona non-grata when one of the thrown stones aiming at landing on Mr President was shielded away by one of the security operatives, thus forcing the national leader of the party and others to run for life.
