Japan set to invest in power generation


The minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has disclosed that federal government has secured commitments from Japan International Co-operation Agency to invest in the Jebba Hydro project and also facilitate trade and investment in Nigeria.

Jebba hydro scheme has been one of the oldest power generation axis in the country and is currently in need of expansion.

She dropped the hint in her closing remarks of the IMF/World bank summit in Washington DC, but did not give details on the nature of the emerging investment by the Japanese group.
