I am excited to be in Makurdi for Glo concert on Saturday—2Baba

Iconic hip-pop star, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or Tuface, has expressed excitement about the Makurdi, Benue State, edition of the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour scheduled for Saturday.

2Baba who comes from the Idoma area of the state and a brand ambassador of the foremost telecommunications company, said that coming to perform in the city gives him a nostalgic feeling, and assured his fans in his home state of world-class outing, not only from him but from all the A-Listers billed to perform at the show.

He will be leading artistes such as Katch, Korede Bello, Di’Ja, Timaya and Phyno to the Royal Choice Inn, venue of the show.

“I feel nostalgic and at the same time excited going back to base in Makurdi to entertain my people. Nothing dey happen nao! You know there is no place like home and I trust everybody on this tour to give it to the people hot”, he enthused

According to the organisers of the show, in addition to the six music stars performing,  four Nollywood icons would be in attendance as show anchors and celebrity guests.

Globacom said that two Nollywood actresses, Juliet Ibrahim and Mercy Johnson-Okojie, would anchor the show, while Nollywood legend, Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK), would make celebrity guest appearance alongside his Kannywood counterpart, Sani Danja.

“Makurdi show is going to be of the same high standards as those of the other 20 locations where the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour has been held. All plans have been put in place to make the evening a memorable one for our teeming subscribers in Makurdi and the adjoining towns and villages who will be coming to be part of the fun”, the statement said.

The company assured that, “the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour has in the last five months raised the bar in the nation’s entertainment industry and there is no dropping the ball as far as the Makurdi show is concerned. It is going to be a spectacular experience for the audience, especially when their own son, Tuface, will be leading the pack”.

Globacom asked its subscribers who have used N2,000 recharge card for data and voice in the last one month and who are willing to attend the show to send SMS “MUSIC MAKURDI” to the short code 207, adding that “those who have not used up to that amount and new subscribers can also come to the venue of the show, buy new SIM cards and recharge cards worth the same amount and be part of the show”.
