Huawei, Fortis deepen CSR, opens ICT Centre for productivity at Eti-Osa

In keeping with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Communications technology services provider, Huawei (Nigeria) in conjunction with Fortis Project Limited have inaugurated information and communication technology (ICT) project at Eti-Osa East local council development area of Lagos State.

Director of Fortis Project Limited, Mr. Dotun Adebayo said the initiative behind the ICT centre is to serve the needs of the Eti-Osa people by providing them with a 21st century learning environment that will grow their knowledge economy and early self reliance.

He further thanked the management and Staff of Huawei for making this happen through their CSR platform.

In his remarks, Fancy Feng Hongjuan, Public Relations Manager of Huawei Technologies Nigeria Limited said apart from the contribution to the ICT field Huawei does think about giving back to the society.

She also talked about the various ICT trainings and how Huawei is gradually getting involved in skill training which was their purpose of setting up the Eti-Osa training skill centre.

Earlier in his address of welcome, Mr. Tunde Ayeni, sole administrator for Eti-Osa East LCDA, said that after the completion of the project, it will reduce the gaps that have been created by unemployment and lack of jobs in the locality.

While appreciating the kind gesture from the duo of Fortis and Huawei Technologies for deeming fit to sponsor the construction of this epoch-making skill acquisition centre, he assured on the security of the centre for the good of his subjects.
