New episode of Globacom’s leading soup titled; “Campaign Promises” currently running on TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull, has put politicians on the spot for their exaggerations and outright falsehoods on their campaign trails.

It also highlights how ethnicity plays a major role in electoral contests, rising incidences of political violence and high cost of campaigns.

The show which was on TV as usual on Tuesday on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and  NTA on StarTimes at 8.30 p.m. The episode will be rebroadcast same channels on Friday at the same time.

Viewers of the now popular TV drama series are assured of laughter and wisdom as the two protagonists in the drama Olaniyi, played by Yomi Fash-Lanso and Etuk (Imeh Bishop), try to outmuscle each other in a political race  in their community.

Viewers will still enjoy the comic verbosity of Professor Johnbull (Kanayo O. Kanayo), the simple mindedness of Caro (Mercy Johnson Okojie), the craftiness of Churchill (Jnr. Pope Odonwodo), and the clownings of Mai Doya (Funky Mallam), Samson (Ogus Baba) and Jumoke (Bimbo Kosoko).

The Executive Producer of the sitcom, Globacom, in a statement issued in Lagos on Monday said that: “Campaign Promises is sure to reawaken the people’s consciousness to the roles they are expected to play before, during and after elections.”
