Unsubstantiated belief that alcohol is a panacea to problems has been floored in this week’s episode of Globacom-sponsored TV satire, Professor Johnbull, scheduled for broadcast this Tuesday at 8.30pm on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes.
In the episode titled “Fool’s Paradise”, the protagonist of the drama series, Professor Johnbull, starred by veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo, will expatiate on the debilitating effects of alcohol on individuals and the society.
The episode depicts the fact that there are more pragmatic ways of solving life’s problems than resorting to drunkenness, Globacom stressed in a statement.
The company noted that since Professor Johnbull debuted about three months ago, it had raised the society’s moral consciousness by addressing germane issues and generating keen interest among the viewing public which attested to the acceptability of Professor Johnbull across the country.
Viewers of the drama series will grapple with posers such as: should a man give up on life for whatever reason? How does the all-knowing Professor Johnbull react to his brother’s drinking problems? Is it really a mistake to bury one’s problems in the bottle?
Globacom enjoined viewers to make it a date with the series which will feature top actors such as Yomi Fash-Lanso who plays Olaniyi, Queen Nwokoye who stars as Elizabeth, Mercy Johnson Okogie who acts as Caro, Stephen Odimgbe (Flash), Bidemi Kosoko (Jumoke), Ogus Baba Samson and Junior Pope (Churchill).
A repeat broadcast of the episode will be aired at 8.30p.m. on Friday on the same NTA channels.
