National telecom carrier and leading indigenous telecoms investors, Globacom, has unveiled a new customer –oriented package, the Glo GameBox, a mobile game application packaged exclusively for the endless entertainment of its teeming subscribers.
The company in a terse statement released in Lagos, explained that “Glo GameBox is bound to change the face of mobile gaming in Nigeria, as it presents unequalled game options and unprecedented height of excitement to subscribers”.
Globacom further averred that Glo GameBox gives subscribers on the network, who have android devices, unlimited access to full-length games that are devoid of interruptions by advertisements or in-app purchase offers.
Key of the popular games on the app include Evoland, Football Cup 2018, Five Nights at Freddy’s: SL, Granny Smith, Cut the Rope, Bridge Constructor 1, Talking Tom Gold Run, Mini Metro, Batman: Gotham’s Most Wanted, and Badland.
It also noted that the package which contains over 400 premium games from a wide variety of genres, including Arcade, Brain & Puzzle, Casual, Kids, Racing, Sports and Strategy as well as Action and Adventure benefitted extensively from the leading aggregators of films in the world.
Besides, the app which is open to both prepaid and postpaid Glo subscribers can be accessed by sending the word “GAMES” or “Games” to 900, toll-free, or dial *900#, after which they will then be sent a link for Glo GameBox.
Globacom disclosed further that subscribers who wish to opt out of the app will send “Unsub Games” to 900 toll-free and they will be unsubscribed immediately.
Whereas Globacom said subscription to Glo GameBox costs N10 daily, N50 weekly or N150 monthly, more than 400 premium games can be downloaded on any option picked by the subscriber.
Analysts say the new product will leverage on the star performance of Globacom’s robust and highly reliable fast Internet services.
