Glo bankrolls unconventional fashionistas on CNN African Voices this weekend

The Glo-sponsored African Voices on Cable News Network (CNN) will this weekend explore Africa’s unconventional fashion, with a focus on three of the continent’s bourgeoning fashionistas.
The thirty minutes programme which comes up on CNN at 11.30 a.m. on Friday is also repeated at 7 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Saturday and at 12.30 a.m., 4.30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday. The show will also be aired at 5 a.m. on Monday and at 10.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
In a press statement in Lagos, Globacom said viewers will have a good time as they learn more about the continent’s unconventional fashion, particularly the exploits of the guests.
The programme will feature Tobe Aka Benjamin Arthur, a stylist from Ghana; television personality and Kenya-based stylist and brand manager, Annabele Onyango, and her husband, Marek Fuchs, as well as Ivory Coast’s Creative Consultant, Jenke Ahmed Tailly.
Arthur is a style influencer who remains a role model to youths in Ghana and across the continent. He is known for exclusive designs and has styled top models including Moesha Boduong, while top models including Sonia Ibrahim, Ama K Aberese and Caroline Sampson have showcased his designs.
Annabel Onyango, on the other hand, is a Kenyan fashion stylist and blogger under the brand Dressupnation. Annabel’s unexpected career in fashion began as a Fashion Editor for True Love and Drum East Africa, and she currently styles the presenters of entertainment variety show “Mashariki Mix” on AfricaMagic (MNet). With fastidious attention to the whims of international fashion, Annabel’s personal style interprets trends and makes them all her own. She is married to Marek Fuchs, the high flying entertainment Managing Director of Kenyan music group, Sautisol.
The last guest on the programme, Jenke Ahmed Tailly, is one of the most influential stylists working today. His name may not ring a bell. But this, as it turns out, is precisely how he likes it. “I like to do my work quietly,” says Tailly, a fashion editor, stylist, and consultant who works with Kanye West, Beyoncé, and most recently, Kim Kardashian.
