In line with its quest to fast track the country’s drive to Information and Communications Technology (ICT) penetration, Ghana has approached Rwanda, leading Africa’s ICT powered economy for partnership.

Otherwise, indications are rife that both nations would soon constitute a joint team to facilitate the process of using ICT to speed up the ongoing public sector reforms in Ghana.

The two countries would tap into each others’ experiences in terms of the usage of ICT to enhance public service delivery.

Already, Rwandan government has offered to partner Ghana and share its experiences and expertise towards fast-tracking ICT reforms in Ghana.

Driven by the Ghanaian Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, he has already met with Rwandan President, Paul Kegame at the just ended Global Business Forum on Africa in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Currently, some of the ongoing economic reforms being undertaken by Ghana include; the National Property Addressing System, the National Identification System set to begin in November, the Paperless Port System and the Online Business Registration.
