Following recent claims by the Chief Legal Officer, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Mrs. Wola Joseph-Ojoye that her company has attained about 82.3 percent metering success, a lot of unmetered customers have dismissed the claims, saying the company remains the highest in distribution of crazy bills via estimated billings.
Mrs. Joseph-Ojoye had made the claims at a news conference in Lagos where she highlighted the disco’s activities ahead of its Customer Service Week which started on Tuesday.
She also claimed that the company was rated first in the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) first quarter report in metering and billing efficiency.
Several electricity users in parts of Lagos especially areas around Ojo Military cantonment and environs say for more than three years they have been hearing of prepaid meters but nothing to show for it, rather, the estimated monthly bills sent to them are becoming crazier every month.
