Business Hilights suspends weekend publications to consolidate on weekdays

As part of new efforts to deepen business reportage, the Board of Media Hilights Integrated Company Limited, publishers of Business Hilights online news has suspended publications on Saturday and Sunday.

The decision was taken Friday in Lagos after a board meeting to review activities of the platform after the first three months.

The board was satisfied with progress made so far as statistics presented by the Chief Web Manager, Mr. Chinedu Ugomba showed that in September when the site was launched, a total of 5,490 viewers hit the site while in October, it rose to 7,883.

November recorded 9651 to be the highest. Already, between December 1st and 2nd, viewership has crossed 800 mark, an indication that the month will surpass the record set by the previous month.

On why weekends were suspended, Ugomba advised that due to the fact that weekend’s viewership has consistently recorded medium average of 150 to 300, it will be better to suspend it and boost weekday’s publications for the interest of business operators, governments and international readers who have been relying on strategic information from Business Hilights to take official and corporate decisions.

In his remarks, the founder and Editor in Chief of Business Hilights and CEO of Media Hilights Integrated Company Limited, Prince Stan Okenwa said the platform will continue to deepen reportage of strategic business sectors as part of the group’s efforts to grow information and economic development in Nigeria and Africa in general.

More than 17 staff and reporters of Business Hilights attended the quarterly review board meeting and the management used the opportunity to give out End of the Year hampers to all staff.

The publisher called on advertisers’ to avail themselves the opportunity presented by the observed galloping viewership of the platform to deepen their brand identity and market their products to the Nigerian and international markets.

He explained that Business Hilights advert rate which is currently on promotion is among the cheapest while the site is offering among the best in the industry.

Prince Okenwa hinted that more strategic reforms that will promote businesses next year are underway, saying the site will continue to be the choice information gateway for businesses and governments.
