Founder and chairman of Globacom, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr., in Lagos on Monday thanked all Nigerians and business partners for assisting him to drive the vision and dream he enacted and launched in 2003 which he said has today, become a leading telecoms brand in not only Nigeria, but across Africa.

Speaking to select telecoms editors during the 14 anniversary of Glo, Adenuga said “Today, am excited because today we are looking at various step changes in Nigerian telecoms which Glo has led”.

“4G LTE is the fastest internet service and Glo is driving a nationwide coverage in the last few months. 4G will accelerate Nigeria’s development into the superlink needed to deepen growth and economic stability.

“The 4G technology is changing our live and business styles which mean in few years to come, we will see real growth. I look forwards to seeing all Nigerians there soonest on Glo,” Adenuga said.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Regional Director (West Africa), Marketing Communications at Globacom, Charles Jenarius, said since “August 2003, we at Glo have been toiling very hard to deliver seamless services by way of building the largest and biggest network in Africa in line with the dream of our chairmen, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr.”.

“Today, August 2017, marks 14 years of our existence, and we have achieved a lot in this short period of time,” and further assured that Glo will continue to deliver tailored telecoms services to Nigerians.

Business Hilights recalls that on entering the Nigerian market, Glo changed the exploitative narrative in voice services by taking the bull by the horn to introduce per-second billing which had remained till date.

Glo, popularly known as the Grand Data Masters, has been rising in subscriber base both in data and voice services over the years and has also been receiving several accolades in the industry.
